The Enlarging Machine by Liana_Bluestar

Rated: G • starstarstarstarhalf-star
Summary: Wheeljack creates a machine that can make any object ten times bigger - with very amusing consequences!

Date: 12/03/03 Title: Chapter 1: The Enlarging Machine

Quite entertaining. Where... are the quote marks?

Batteries Not Included by Bobbi_Carothers

Rated: G • starstarstarstarhalf-star
Summary: After a terrible accident involving Optimus Prime, Bobbi Carothers is revived in a form she finds extremely familiar.
Reviewer: peppermintwind Signed starstarstarstar
Date: 24/06/03 Title: Chapter 1: Batteries Not Included

Pretty darn good for a shameless self-insert. Hey, nobody's immune. I liked the scene right after she shot TC (poor TC...). I think I'd feel sick if I'd thought I'd killed someone too, and you pulled it off really well.

Transformers Mambo Number 5 by Liana_Bluestar

Rated: G • starstarstarstarhalf-star
Summary: Everybody sing along - "A little bit of Megatron in my life...!"
Reviewer: peppermintwind Signed starstarstarstar
Date: 12/03/03 Title: Chapter 1: Transformers Mambo Number 5

I think you could have done more with this, but it's still pretty cute.

Spring Cleaning by Firebird_and_Optimoose

Rated: G • starstarstarstarhalf-star
Summary: It's spring cleaning day at the Autobot Ark and Deceptibase, and all stains must be terminated - no matter what the cost!
Reviewer: peppermintwind Signed starstarstarstar
Date: 24/06/03 Title: Chapter 1: Spring Cleaning

This - was - priceless! Sorry I can't say anything more constructive but I'm too busy trying to re-learn how to breathe.

A Rejected Hero by Tut

Rated: G • starstarstarstarhalf-star
Summary: Tut defends the Decepticons' most powerful adversary -- Optimus Prime.
Reviewer: peppermintwind Signed starstarstarstarstar
Date: 23/06/03 Title: Chapter 1: A Rejected Hero

Deep, well written and quite moving, especially at the end. This Autobot fan is grateful for your honesty and open-mindedness and salutes your eloquence. Bravo!

Sojourn by Neale_Davidson

Rated: G • starstarstarstar
Summary: Megatron ventures alone to look for a stasis pod, and ventures into a trap. A pity for the trappers, for Megatron is not tricked so easily. This fanfic was nominated for a 1998 Readers' Choice Award for Most Frightening.
Reviewer: peppermintwind Signed starstarstarstarhalf-star
Date: 18/07/03 Title: Chapter 1: Sojourn

The mark of a darn good 'episode style' fic is that it is better than at least half the canon episodes while adhering to the true natures of the characters. This, you have pulled off and more. Congratulations.

Broken Scales by Neale_Davidson

Rated: G • starstarstar
Summary: Frustrated, Dinobot leads an assault on the Predacons. The Predacons turn out to be more than prepared, however, and Dinobot faces his own death. This fanfic was nominated for a 1998 Readers' Choice Award for Best Drama.
Reviewer: peppermintwind Signed starstarstarstar
Date: 25/06/03 Title: Chapter 1: Broken Scales

One of the best script-style fanfics I've read. It was a classic BW episode, on par with the canon ones. The scene with Dinobot and Cheetor was bordering on out-of-character but no less well written for that. One of these I'm going to have to read the rest of your series so I know what the slag is going on....

On The Verge by Liana_Bluestar

Rated: G • starstarstarstar
Summary: Chromia and the other female Autobots are coming to Earth, so why isn't Ironhide looking forward to it?
Reviewer: peppermintwind Signed starstarstarstar
Date: 12/03/03 Title: Chapter 1: On The Verge

I don't usually like Transformers soap opera, but this was pretty cute. Just a few technical nitpicky things.

My Baby's In Love With Waspinator by TM3_Dinobot

Rated: G • starstarstarstarhalf-star
Summary: A song about a couple with strange tastes!
Reviewer: peppermintwind Signed starstarstarstarhalf-star
Date: 09/11/03 Title: Chapter 1: My Baby's In Love With Waspinator

(holds up a sign) Excuse me while I ROTFLMAO.

Sibling Rivalry by Jazzy

Rated: G • starstarstarstarhalf-star
Summary: On a short visit back to Cybertron, Jazz finds an intruder in his old home - an intruder who gives him more trouble than he ever imagined!
Reviewer: peppermintwind Signed starstarstarstarstar
Date: 13/03/03 Title: Chapter 1: Sibling Rivalry

This was so good! I was pleasantly surprised to find that Jazzy is actually a round character. Way to go. (applauds)

Coming Clean by Jiminy_Christmas

Rated: G • starstarstarstarhalf-star
Summary: Thundercracker defects to the Autobots but only finds disillusionment. (Now with new material by the author).
Reviewer: peppermintwind Signed starstarstarstarhalf-star
Date: 27/06/03 Title: Chapter 1: Coming Clean

It took me a while to get past the aw-poor-Thundercracker stage so I could actually say something coherent. This fic is a gem, a complete gem. Thundercracker keeps looking for black and white and all he sees is gray. I am incredibly impressed. Nobody was out of character, but at the same time pretty much everyone was more than they were in the show. Sunstreaker as antagonist works especially well. If you do ever get around to writing a sequel I'd love to read it.

We Can't Afford to be Innocent by StealthBunny

Rated: G • starstarstarstarhalf-star
Summary: A human girl infiltrates the Ark
Reviewer: peppermintwind Signed starstarstarstar
Date: 30/04/03 Title: Chapter 1: We Can't Afford to be Innocent

The whole time I was reading this, I couldn't keep the silly grin off my face.

AKA Primal by Dave_Van_Domelen

Rated: G • starstarstarstarstar
Summary: The adventures of our favorite Boss Monkey when he was a young protoform....
Reviewer: peppermintwind Signed starstarstarstarstar
Date: 24/04/03 Title: Chapter 1: AKA Primal

I don't remember where I first ran into this fic, but it's affected my thinking about Primal more than anything I've ever read. Bravo.

The Lack Of Strategic Diversity: Why The Decepticons Can Never Win by Negare

Rated: G • starstarhalf-star
Summary: I could probably write a 10,000 word thesis on this subject. The essay itself isn't that long, but I believe I have put forward strong factual evidence to support my claims.
Reviewer: peppermintwind Signed starstarstarstar
Date: 30/04/03 Title: Chapter 1: The Lack Of Strategic Diversity: Why The Decepticons Can Never Win

Well thought out, wouldn't have suffered if you had made it longer.

Lucifer Over London by KoiLungFish

Rated: G • starstarstarstarhalf-star
Summary: The Decepticons attack Heathrow Airport, England ::WARNING Heavy religious themes::
Reviewer: peppermintwind Signed starstarstarstarstar
Date: 21/11/03 Title: Chapter 1: Lucifer Over London

Why... why... WHY did I wait so long to read this? I don't even know where to begin. This was so full of power and fury, you described the hellishness so clearly and the religious metaphors actually WORKED, rather than just being sanctimonious like they tend to be in other fic. ::snorts:: What am I saying, this isn't remotely like other fic, this is KOIfic! :P I liked how you used the 'phyrric' reference for when the Autobots showed up, too late to prevent the distruction, and I just had a very clear vision of Megatron at that point and I nearly wet my pants. Ye gods, fish, how did you GET this good?

Grand, Stupid Things by Starhorse

Rated: G • starstarstarstarhalf-star
Summary: Sideswipe got the brains, but Sunstreaker got all the common sense. And the llama? Well, the llama got the short end of the deal, no matter how you look at it.
Reviewer: peppermintwind Signed starstarstarstarstar
Date: 24/06/03 Title: Chapter 1: Grand, Stupid Things

Why did I wait so long before reading this? I wish this system would let me print those rolling laughter icons, so I could fill your review box with about sixty of those things.

Sufficiency by Merytneith

Rated: G • starstarstarstar
Summary: The Protectobots struggle with the conflicts between five separate individuals sharing one gestalt mind and get caught in the crossfire as the Autobots' failure to understand humanity becomes abundantly clear.
Reviewer: peppermintwind Signed starstarstarstarhalf-star
Date: 24/06/03 Title: Chapter 1: Sufficiency

I loved this. It's clear you've done your research and quite a lot of thinking about the ramifications of the TFs' presence on Earth. The descriptions of the internal relationships of the Protectobots were beautifully done.

Red Alert on Rye by Liana_Bluestar

Rated: G • starstarstarstarhalf-star
Summary: Red Alert in a sandwich! Sorta.
Reviewer: peppermintwind Signed starstarstarstar
Date: 14/03/03 Title: Chapter 1: Red Alert on Rye

Confusing. Funny... but confusing. I assume that was the point.

Transformers Fanfic by Charl

Rated: G • starstarstarstarhalf-star Feature
Summary: What are the features of Transformers fanfic and what kind of person writes it?
Reviewer: peppermintwind Signed starstarstarstarstar
Date: 12/10/03 Title: Chapter 1: Transformers Fanfic

May I say, DAMN. And I thought I had too much time on my hands. This is an incredible piece of work; I'm amazed you had the patience to find all those references, and it's so coherently put together. Pepper is blown away!

Buzzing With the Bee by Zylly

Reviewer: peppermintwind Signed starstarstarstarhalf-star

Eee! Quit playing with my emotions! This was fun and cute, it makes me feel all bouncy. I'd say you nailed Bumblebee. ;)

All That's Jazz by squirrel27

Rated: G • starstarstarstarhalf-star
Summary: Knocked this one out after seeing _Chicago_, the film of the musical. The original work is _All That Jazz_ by John Kander / Fred Ebb.
Reviewer: peppermintwind Signed starstarstarstarstar
Date: 13/03/03 Title: Chapter 1: All That's Jazz

(claps and whistles) This was great! You've got a way with words. And of course if it's Jazz it's all good.

Byway And Crossdive: All I Need by Lady_Dementia

Rated: G • starstarstarstarhalf-star
Summary: They were called Romeo and Juliet in a car—but what if “Juliet” WAS a car?
Reviewer: peppermintwind Signed starstarstarstarhalf-star
Date: 27/04/03 Title: Chapter 1: Byway And Crossdive: All I Need

'Not very good at love stories', my foot... Beautiful job with this. Elita seems a little flat, but then again, she's flat in the show too. Starscream's characterization blew me away.

Touch and Consequences by Moonscream

Rated: G • starstarstarstar
Summary: Thundercracker decides to take a little unannounced vacation. He always flies under the radar, so nobody will miss him for one or two days, right?
Reviewer: peppermintwind Signed starstarstarstarhalf-star
Date: 28/04/03 Title: Chapter 1: Touch and Consequences

Mwehehehe, you already know I love this. Good to see it up on the Lex.

Unto The Breach by Athimus

Rated: G • starstarstarstarstar
Summary: As Optimus, Prowl and Grimlock organize their plan to rescue their fallen comrades, Jazz and Goldbug are faced with the knowledge of what their beloved former leader is about to do. Chapter Three of 'The New Deal'.
Reviewer: peppermintwind Signed starstarstarstarstar
Date: 23/10/03 Title: Chapter 1: Unto The Breach

Darn you! Where's the rest of this fic? You can't leave a girl hanging like that, it's too cruel! Not to say I don't like your crossovers, but I really really enjoy this fic so far. Any plans to continue it? ::crosses fingers:: Anyway. I love, love, LOVE your characterization of Optimus Prime. He's... what's the word I'm looking for... snarky. Snarky and a bit jaded, like he actually HAS been fighting a war for millions of years. And he has a sense of humor. And it works! It really, really works! It's so wonderful! I love the friction between him and Roddy too - they're both being equally blockheaded, yannow. ;) Anyway, thanks for a truly enjoyable read, and I hope you find time to continue this sweet piece of work.
