They bring with them tales of a new Cybertron and a strange receptacle, similar to the Matrix of Leadership. This "Matrix" seems to draw its power from distant Cybertron and contains their Spirit Guide, the great Maximal, Optimus Primal! Optimus Primal warns Optimus Prime about his spiritual nemesis, the Predacon named Megatron, who, he says, has come to Earth in order to posses Brave Maximus and usurp Gigatron and lead his army of Decepticons!

Name: Mirage (GT).
Function: Warrior.
Motto: "Eat My Dust!"
Created from part of the Decepticon called Skywarp's spark and from the same Race-Drones as his "Brother", Devcon; Mirage is a real trickster - and like most practical jokers, loves being devious. Although now liberated from Megatron's mind control devices, he is still, not very smart. Would be useless without Optimus Primal's encouragement. Enjoys playing tricks on fellow Autobots. Can appear out of nowhere to attack Decepticons and Predacons alike. Sneakiest and most elusive of all his comrades. Top speed of 300 miles per mega-cycle. Can instantly teleport up to 200 yards. Wields a plasma mine blaster and dual missile launchers. Unpopular amongst fellow warriors, as he constantly compares himself to other Autobots going by the same name. Has developed a keen rivalry on "who is the fastest" with his Spychanger namesake, which Optimus Prime has so far ignored.

Name: Scavenger
Function: Demolitions, Mining, Salvage and Training.
Motto: "Duty is a long road and sacrifice the fuel"
The Autobot known as Scavenger has a long and mysterious past. Originally an Autobot instructor at a top training academy, he was first re-formatted into a Decepticon and then a Vehicon against his will. Disgusted by his mistreatment at the hands of not one, but two different Megatrons, Scavenger is out to clear his and his fellow Constructicons' names and extract vengeance upon those who would enslave others. Able to detect many different fuels, metals and energy sources through almost any surface via his shovel. In any mode, he can fire his gattling gun and surface- to-air missiles. Heavy armor makes Scavenger practically unstoppable. Galva-conductors on his back channel deadly electric currents. Scavenger's Unswerving loyalty to the Autobot cause has made him a welcome addition to the ranks, but he lacks confidence due to his past. He constantly feels the need to "prove himself" to his fellows which has led to a desire to closely study his Decepticon prey for weaknesses. Sometimes, in battle, a dormant binary-bonding synapse, left over from his Constructicon form, will create a deep longing for him to combine into devastator or Build-King. This has led to him going on a rampage and wrecking anything with abandon. Sometimes refers to Optimus as "Mighty" when he's about to go wakko!

Name: Night Cruz
Function: Aerial Reconnaissance
Motto: "I am the eye in the sky."
Night-Cruz is (almost) entirely focused on one task: destroy the Destrons! Impressive aerial abilities and a fully stocked arsenal make him a serious threat on all fronts. Bomber mode has two powerful laser-matrix missiles with remote detonation capabilities. Robot mode is equipped with a giant and powerful clamp mechanism perfect for close-in hand-to-hand combat and makes a valuable utility tool. Specialized armor deflects most energy blasts plus radar detection. One of Optimus' most valuable assets; Night Cruz never backs down from a fight as he suffers from "Mc-Fly Syndrome"; which is a symptom of many of Cybertron's top flight-academy graduates! Never call him "yellow" or "chicken", unless you have the servos to back it up! His concentration on Destron-bashing is sometimes overcome by an obsession with Cybertron and trans-Warp drives and he desperately wants to get "back to the future" as he puts it.

Name: Storm Jet
Function: Aerial Combat
Motto: "Keep your eyes on the enemy to stay ahead of him!"
Formally a "Sonic Attack Jet Drone" with his "Brothers" Cyclonus and Silver-Bolt; Storm Jet is capable of flying at very high speed and loves to chase down Decepticons who think they are faster than he is. He attacks with overwhelming speed and ammunition, strafing his enemy with lethal scatter bombs and plasma lasers. Although he has a stormy temper, he manages to control it most of the time, but woe to the Decepticon who pushes him beyond his patience. He conducts reconnaissance missions, deftly avoiding any missile attacks if he's spotted by the enemy. Deeply admires an Autobot from ages past-so much that he has copied his paint scheme!

Wise and strong, Optimus Primal, via a "Maximal Matrix", councils Optimus Prime in the ways of defensive combat and serves as custodian of freedom. Helps others find their own strength to keep fighting despite the odds. Brave and intelligent, he believes wholeheartedly in his cause and lights the fires of justice and truth in others.

The former tyrant of the Beast Wars and despot of Cybertron, Megatron is a Predacon, though newly proclaims himself to be the new leader of the Decepticons - a display of his arrogance. A battle-hardened commander who wants nothing more than universal domination; Has led the devastation of countless worlds before coming to Earth, and is set on eradicating all Cybertronians! Just as Unicron took shape inside a planet; so too has Megatron's spirit possessed and manipulated a Vehicon space cruiser! This gives Megatron the ability to transform from robot to space cruiser and back! His Cruiser mode can land and via special landing struts, crawl over terrain as a "Terra-Tank"! His "emissary mode", based upon Headmaster technology enables him to gain control over the secret Autobot defense fortress, "Fortress Maximus" and robots like him! In robot form, he attacks with energy claws and sonic missiles. Megatron is a force to be feared, by Destrons and Cybertrons alike!
