History: Skyfire's tenure was a brief one. He was a journeyman science officer of the Maximal Defense Vessel (MDV) Trifecta, the flagship of the Maixmal Defense on Cybertron, under the command of Rodimus Primal. He was placed in stasis, like many of his peers. When the Trifecta engaged the Tripredacus flagship Gigastorm, captained by Galvatron, the two commanders forced one another down on an unexplored planet, full of creatures deemed mythical by Earth standards. The stasis pods on board the Trifecta were released for similar reasons the Axalon did, and during the tenure of the battle between the Maximals and the Predacons, the pods opened.

Skyfire's pod, however, was damaged upon planetfall.

Meanwhile, after being exiled to space, the spark of Starscream managed to find its way following the temporal streams to the battle between the Trifecta and the Gigastorm. Stumbling across Skyfire's malfunctioning pod, he found the perfect scenario: an otherwise functioning shell, a dying spark, and access to the most powerful ship in the Maximal fleet. And so, without any further ado, possessed Skyfire's shell and absorbed what was left of his spark into his own.

After scanning a cockatrice-like creature, Starscream, calling himself Skyfire, approached the other Maximals, taking on Skyfire's personality traits to better the masquerade. Ultimately, after ensuring the trust of the Maximals, he sabotaged the Trifecta in its final battle with the Gigastorm, escaping in a fighter he rigged up with a transwarp drive. The two ships were destroyed; he was the only survivor of the battle.

He returned to prehistoric earth to seek revenge against Black Arachnia and the other Predacons for betraying him. Resuming Skyfire's guise, he gained the trust of the Maximals; his identity, however, was figured out by Megatron.

Personality: As Skyfire, he is a pleasant, somewhat cocky, intelligent, and friendly. He is bound to his duty and loyal to his commanding officers. However, what lies beneath is another matter. Under the guise of the cheerful adolescent harbours the cruel, malicious, and immortal spark of Starscream, Air Commander of the Decepticon Battle Fleet.

Although not apparent at first, (it is more recognizable in Beast Machines), when Starscream absorbed Skyfire's spark, Skyfire became a part of Starscream. This created a little bit of an annoyance at first, which progressively grew at the time of Beast Machines to a problem, as Starscream was in the habit of yelling out loud at the "Harvey" within his head.

Abilities: Skyfire is fast, both over land and in the air. He can run at speeds up to 70 KPH, and fly in excess of 120 KPH. In beast mode, his gaze can merely paralyze an opponent for up to a quarter megacycle after he breaks eyecontact. In bot mode, this ability greatens to being able to actually control a person to do his whim, just so as long as he keeps them within his sight.

Weaknesses: Starscream suffers from his normal bouts of egotism and superiority. He often times forgets that, while possessing Skyfire's shell, he is vulnerable to pain. Also, Skyfire's shell is somewhat frail compared to other Maximals.
