So it would seem that, in the wake of the first movie’s success, anyone and everyone wanted on the bandwagon. This led to Mead putting out a learning / writing / activity tablet whose purpose was to capitalize on the film in order to make learning “more interesting.” Note that there was only ever one tablet; it simply had two different covers.

            Each double-sided page is devoted to a number ranging from 1 to 20. One side has practice space so that kids can get used to writing the number, while the other side has an activity or two focusing on that number itself. At the end are several additional writing practice pages. Were it not for the activities every other page, it’d look like a normal writing tablet of the kind that kids in the lower grades (K – 5 or so) use for handwriting practice.

            This leads to something of a paradox. It’s TF-related, so it’s a collectible. Yet it’s done up in such a fashion that only kids would be interested in it to begin with… to work on. Unless you like to collect oddball items or you can find some dirt cheap, it’s a pass. Rating: 5 / 10.
