The year is 1985. The Transformers have been fighting their war on Earth for several months now. G.I. Joe, the American special mission force, was told by their superiors to stay out of the Cybertronian war despite the fact that many of the battles took place on American soil. That is, until now. The Decepticons jets came out of nowhere. They attacked G.I. Joe headquarters relentlessly. Finally, Megatron appeared on the scene. He walked up to a jet hanger and blasted a whole in the wall with his fusion cannon.

Megatron: Soundwave, generate some energon cubes and have Rumble and Frenzy fill them with the fuel from these vehicles.

All fuel they could find was put into energon cubes. Duke watched from the control room and shouted orders to his crew.

Duke: Bazooka, Roadblock, man the machine guns and missile launchers, I want those jets taken out of the sky! Scarlett, I want all information on those robots you can give me. Everyone else, get out there and do what you can.

All: Yo Joe!

Everyone went to his or her post. Scarlett couldn't get much information on the robots, except for that they had advanced technology and were pounding them. Bazooka and Roadblock were able to would a few of the jets, but they just transformed and fought from the ground. Snake Eyes surprised Frenzy while he was filling energon cubes and was able to cut off a hand. Then, all of the sudden, the Decepticons transformed and flew away. They had drained the headquarters of most of its fuel and energy. There was not much left of the base to even call a headquarters. Everything was burned down or burning. Wounded Joes lay all over the place.

Duke: Doc, attend to those you can and report back to me later. Scarlett, is there anything left?

Scarlett: Some of the computer systems are still online and a lot of the vehicles are undamaged. They were mostly here for the energy.

Duke: Well that's something. Breaker, radio anybody who can help us, we could sure us it.

Optimus Prime and the Autobots had gotten an alert that the Decepticons were attacking the Joe base and had even gotten a radio communication from Breaker while they were on their way, but they still didn't make it in time. By the time they got to the base it was already gone. They did all they could to help. They cleared away rubble, helped get soldiers to a place to rest, Ratchet even helped Doc out with the wounded.

Prime: I'm sorry we didn't make it in time Duke; we should have been here to help.

Duke: It's all right Prime, they caught us by surprise. We weren't prepared and we paid the price for that. We weren't even supposed to be involved with you guys, but they hit us hard, and I want to hit them back. Its time for us to get involved.

Prime: Well we will help all we can. I radioed headquarters and had Jazz send the Dinobots so they could patrol in case Megatron decides to come back. Wheeljak has volunteered to help with weaponry and my other troops are at your disposal. That's all I can really do for you right now.

Duke: It's plenty Prime, thank you. I guess were in a temporary alliance.

Prime: It would appear so. Perhaps we can stop Megatron for good.

Cobra Commander giggles as he watches video of the Decepticon attack on G.I. Joe headquarters. In all his attacks on the Joes, he never did that much damage to them.

Cobra Commander: Baroness, get me in communication with the leader of the Decepticons, I have a proposition for him. Hehehehehehe, this is great!

Megatron had refused to talk to Cobra Commander for several hours before he finally gave in just to shut him up. He wished he'd just refused to talk again.

Megatron: An alliance with Cobra? Never. We Decepticons don't need to help of you flesh bags.

CC: Think about the possibilities Megatron. With our combined powers we could take over the Earth and rule supreme.

Megatron: My troops and I are well prepared to do this alone. You have wasted your time Cobra Commander.

He then motioned to Soundwave to cut the feed. He then turned to his second in command, Starscream.

Starscream: Can you believe the nerve of that human? He honestly thought we would team up with him.

Megatron: He was a fool. Has Laserbeak reported back yet Soundwave?

Soundwave: Yes Megatron.

Megatron: Playback his findings then.

Laserbeak transforms into his cassette mode and flies into Soundwave's tape deck.

Prime: Well we will help all we can. I radioed headquarters and had Jazz send the Dinobots so they could patrol in case Megatron decides to come back. Wheeljak has volunteered to help with weaponry and my other troops are at your disposal. That's all I can really do for you right now.

Duke: It's plenty Prime, thank you. I guess were in a temporary alliance.

Prime: It would appear so. Perhaps we can stop Megatron for good.

Megatron: So, Prime thinks allying with the G.I. Joe team will help him defeat me?

Starscream: Having the G.I. Joes on their side might give the Autobots the extra power to defeat us.

Megatron: You're an idiot Starscream. With all the energon we got today, nothing can stop us. But still, we might need a little help.

Starscream: What?! You've gone mad! You aren't seriously thinking about allying with Cobra are you?

Megatron: Shut up Starscream. It would only be a temporary alliance and then when we were through with them we could take what we wanted from them and destroy the rest. Soundwave, get Cobra Commander back on that screen.

Cobra Commander was pleased to see that Megatron had reconsidered his proposal. He knew that if he had the Decepticons on his side he would be unstoppable. And hearing that G.I. Joe and the Autobots had teamed up made him want the alliance even more. He knew after they were done with the Decepticons they would come for him. He wanted to be prepared for anything. Within the hour, Megatron and Starscream were on Cobra Island discussing the terms of the alliance.

Megatron: So we will have access to each other's troops. What else?

CC: How about an arms and information exchange?

Megatron: Now I don't think that's very fair, Cobra Commander. We Decepticons are far more advanced. What's to say after we give you access to our files that you don't use that information against us?

CC: Always thinking, aren't you Megatron?

Megatron: I was assembled that way. How about a limited arms and information exchange? I will give you what I want and you will give me what you want.

CC: That will do just fine Megatron. I think this alliance will be most rewarding.

Megatron: As do I, Cobra Commander, as do I.

Mumm Ra: Yes, oh Spirits of Evil, I have sent them to all corners of the universe in all times. We should be in contact with many other evil beings soon.

ASoE: Good, don't fail us again Mumm Ra. A great evil is coming, and we need all the power we can get to help it and ourselves.
