Once a by-the-book law officer under the command of Optimus Prime, her high hopes for global peace was shattered when her Minicon partner, Serendipity, ended up the first in line of a massacre while trying to protect her village, an attack led by the notorious Starscream, Artemis demanded to be let on the crack team to fight the Decepticons, but her request was denied. In retaliation, she quit the force, not even bothering to turn in her badge and service rifle. She now concentrates on hunting down Starscream, and will destroy any Decepticon who gets in her way of this goal. She carries the appearance of being charismatic and friendly, even though her optics can betray her quest for vindication and her embedded anger.

Vengeance is a rebuilt Minicon from the remains of Serendipity. Although with no first-hand experience with his previous life, Venge has her memories more or less intact, more as of evidence of Serendipity's death than anything else. As his name implies, he is bent on finding the killer of his previous existence, no matter the cost. Trigger-happy and hyper-focused on the mission, he is without mercy towards Decepticons, and is cold and uncaring towards Autobots and his fellow Minicons. His only loyalty is to Artemis, a loyalty that is unbreakable. He is not one to waste words; he talks in clipped sentences if any at all.

Serendipity was, before she died, a diplomatic sort who specialized in crowd control and hostage situations. With Artemis, they made an excellent team, the up and coming pride of the Cyber City Police Force. She was destroyed in a Decepticon raid of her village, taking up the front line and trying to delegate with the attackers, to no avail; she was, in fact, cut down by Starscream's sword, an image forever burned into her memory, now carried by her direct successor, Vengeance.
