Hi there,
Lexicon is finally running on a new version of eFiction. I gave up on Hostgator, which was preventing me from using FTP, and moved to another web hosting company.
Over the next few months, I'll be working on cleaning up Lexicon's data. Submissions and reviews are temporarily turned off until I can keep them spam free.
Regards,
Charl

Please help! I'd like to produce more Transformers Fanfic podcasts, and the quickest and most efficient way would be to use a robotic reader.
Here are the possible voices I could use: 'Heather' - an American female voice, 'Ryan' - an American male voice, 'Alex' - the American voice that breaths, and 'Vicki' - a female voice.
You can hear them by clicking here. The MP3 is roughly 1 minute 50 seconds long. Please let me know which voice you prefer.
Though I Walk Through The Shadow – Part 3 by Starhorse
The unexpected happens and Bluestreak learns a valuable lesson. Category is Generation One. Genre is Drama.
Many thanks to linleekim for the encouragement. :-)
The permissions at Hostgator have not been properly reset since the drive crash on the 28th November. I'm unable to upload the latest podcast.
I've got some techs dealing with it and hope to have the podcast up and running within a few days.
Hostgator (the company hosting Lexicon) just suffered a major drive failure and lost Lexicon.
The Lexicon you see was restored from back ups made Sunday 23rd November 2008. If you reviewed or submitted work after that time, please let me know. I have a back up of the database made on the 25th I could have restored.
The Transformers Fanfic podcast is finally searchable in iTunes. I added it ten days ago, but it didn't show up. It turned out that iTunes (and various other podcast sites and information sources) couldn't handle the colons in the descriptions (e.g. Category: Generation One) so I had to go through and delete them all.
Podcasting is a steep learning curve. ;-)
Apostrophes should no longer be showing up as ’ symbols. If you see any, please contact me.

I performed a massive overhaul of the database this weekend.
Now every submission on Lexicon has its own genre . Gone are the fiddly "Generation One > Drama" categories. Instead ALL submissions can be found under their main category (e.g. Generation One ) or under multiple categories (a new feature!)
You can browse by genre (e.g. Romance and Adventure ) by clicking on the Genre link on the menu bar above, or by choosing your preferred genre in the drop down menu that now appears above every list of submissions.
Happy browsing and don't forget to review your favourite fanfics!

I've just fixed the eFiction version 3.4.1 bug, which pointed category links to the main category list rather than to the subcategory.
The shoe-horning of Lexicon into the eFiction software continues. This weekend, I'll be moving all the submissions in genre classifications, and characters into categories.
Once again, are you a member of the old Lexicon and you want to edit your submissions? You'll need to get yourself a new password. Go to Login and use the Lost Password feature.
Find this silver skin a little dark? I've put a CSS book on order and I'll be working on making a new skin soon.
Many thanks to Diane Calder, for loaning webspace, and Firestorm , the invaluable tester.
I hope you enjoy your stay. Please excuse the dust. I had to make this site public a few days earlier than I expected, so there are a few issues that I'm still fixing.
Are you a member of the old Lexicon and you want to edit your submissions? Have a look at the Help file .
