The 2005 Chronicles by Raksha

I can't even begin to tell you how great this story is. The story being told through Soundwave makes you feel so close to this mysterious Decepticon. As one who misses Megatron myself, it made me feel much closer to Soundwave. It was very different to actually have the Decepticons show such caring and loyalty. In the cartoon they seemed hard, unloyal and uncaring, except for Soundwave who had always shown utmost loyalty to his Leader. I must admit that it threw me off to have them show caring and loyalty for one-another. I liked it very much though. A few times it had me in tears and by the end, I actually was sobbing. Raksha, my greatest praise goes out to you on your wonderful writings. You brought to life some of the characters I loved so much when I was a little girl. Thank you.

A great take on two of my favorite characters. It makes you sit back and think about the relationship between those two. I fit neither in the Starscream camp who seem to think Starscream was abused. I always saw that he got what he deserved for constantly trying to overthrow his leader. I don't fit into the Megatron camp very well either as I was truly upset over Starscream's death in the Movie. I just choose to love both characters and the dynamic way that they interacted. This essay helps bring into perspective the relationship between Megatron and Starscream and gives you much to think about.

A good read, and you have one of my favorite characters, Astrotrain! However, I do disagree on one aspect of your story. Cyclonus is loyal to Galvatron. Fiercely loyal. In the episode Webworld, Galvatron is about to have his mind get eaten by the planet in a last ditch effort to cure his insanity but ultimately take his life in the process. Cyclonus can only struggle against his bonds and watch in helpless horror as he cries out Galvatron's name and shuts his optics to what he's witnessing. He'd lay down his own life to protect Galvatron. Cyclonus would have been horrified at Galvatron's termination by Megatron. But other than that, It was a great story and it is good to have Megatron back as I always liked him better than Galvatron.

This gets my highest rating. I'm tired of everyone out there bad-mouthing Optimus Prime. I find the Decepticons more intersting than most of the Autobots, but Optimus Prime will forever live in my heart as my absolute favorite Transformer. He is what I long to be. Courageous, Compassonate, caring, Strong of body, mind and will. A wonderful leader that anyone can look up to in the time of need. He brought joy to me when I was a little girl and he still does even though I'm close to 30 years old now. He still brings me the same emotions that he gave me as a little girl. Undying love, respect and admiration. His death in the movie upset me greatly and you can imagine my delight in having him returned to us. People need to lay off of him. he was designed to be a role model for children, nothing more, nothing less. I myself aspire to be as good a person as I can be and Optimus is the embodiment of what I wish I could be. Bravo for such a wonderful Essay Tut.

I really liked this story. While I have a hard time dealing with the Autobots being so cruel, I understand that they may have done something like that. It would be hard to accept someone who has done so much evil in the past. But it was harsh and made me angry at them. You know the story is good when you feel that kind of emotion! I'd think Optimus would have taken more steps toward his autobots to keep them from doing that kind of thing or harassing TC like they did. While I don't think Optimus (or the others) would just welcome TC with open arms, I do think he would be gracious and kind to him and try to make him as comfortable as possible given the situation. Optimus always was a very compassionate individual. Your comments about the TV show not being very detailed interested me. I also wish the show had gone more into depth about these characters but you have to remember, that the show was targeted toward young children and only had about 22 minutes to tell a story. I'd love to see them do another toon with G1 and have it targeted toward an older audience with more character development and darker stories. I'm not going to hold my breath for that to ever happen. All I can do is read good fan-fiction such as your story. Great job, but a little heavy on the swearing in some parts. I definately was transported into the story. I was sitting there with TC looking at Thrust's empty seat. Very sad moment. The ending was so sad as well, but very well done. I hope that you someday decide to do more stories.

Possession by Ivy_Bohnlein

Summary: On the surface, this is the story of "Transformers: The Movie" told from Galvatron's point of view. But it's also the story of his journey toward self-determination as he struggles to free himself from Unicron's control.

A great story! I can't even begin to say how great it is!! It was all good! Even explained what happened to the Armada! A brilliant take on the events following Megatron's rebirth as Galvatron.

A very good essay. I agree with what you say completely. Giveing death threats to people!? Why? I will admit that I am a G1 person all the way. I tried to watch Beast Wars and Armada. The former was hard for me to get into and watching the latter made me ill. I, myself, hate to see the same names used for the characters though. I associate names and faces and these new faces don't go with the names. LOL, but I appreciate what you say in your essay. I'm just happy that they do put something out for us G1 people. That is what matters to me. People need to lighten up a bit. It was all created for children in the first place. We need to remember that.

Redemption by NeoDragon

A good fanfic. The only thing I found was that Galvatron was a bit out of character. In season 3 he was insane. He really wasn't in control of himself and he beat on all his Decepticons for the slightest reasons.

This is something for everyone to think about. I would never think to interfere in the writers creative process. I like to merely sit back and enjoy what they come up with. Some storylines I may like and others I may hate. But that's that. Nothing you can do about. As I'd said before, I'm just grateful that they so remember the G1 fans since it has been 20 years. That says something to me.
