31 - The Fourth Cybertronian War - The Final Earth Battle: The Decepticons Lose Earth

You have chosen the fourth war years from the Cybertron archives, a time when the Decepticon leader Megatron and Autobot Leader Optimus Prime fight for Earth and the final battle for Cybertron. Since this is a written event that has been handed down from generation to generation, some areas within the story have been modified by archival historians, they have filled in what could have occurred in those times.

We Begin....

As the war on Earth heated up, Megatron's daily reports to Shockwave became few and far between. It seems the attempt to " strike fear " into the humans using Decepticon might has only made things worst for them all. There had been some dealings with Earth men that wanted to seize power with the Decepticons, but those few flesh creatures where quickly disposed of when they out lived their usefulness to Megatron. Shockwave became concerned when those messages from his mighty leader didn't come through at scheduled, judging by the few reports he had from Megatron, it seemed as if he had his hands full. Cybertron was very much quiet during this time, the moons remained rather calm and uneventful as they passed by every day. The Autobot monitored the Decepticons, and the Decepticons monitored the Autobots. A ballet of stalemate for the two sides ensued, with no one to lead a major assault in their space; the time was rather boring for many of them. Shockwave continued his non-stop battle drills, erected monuments to the " greatest Decepticon leaders " on Cybertron and tightened his control of the planet. Cybertron was Decepticon territory now, no matter what the Autobots did, there would be no chance of them ever reclaiming it for their own.

On Moon Base One, Arcee and Springer made sure that the defenses were all working properly, daily contacts from Optimus Prime on Earth told them how the war was going there. The humans had finally combined their military forces in a joint attack against key Decepticon areas, Spacebridges soon fell into their hands and the Autobots managed to send the Decepticons running back to their underwater lair. Springer laughed at the Decepticon's under estimation of the humans, it was good to hear that nobody would take crap from Megatron...not even the smallest, non-Cybertronian life form. But as Shockwave listened in on the Autobot's frequency, he was soon startled to see an incoming transport from the spacebridge. He knew Megatron would send him up some new energon; perhaps this was a major shipment he needed desperately. When the doors opened in the collector, he was surprised to see a small object that looked like a top of a missile. As he looked closer at it he began reading the painted words written on the side.

" What's this? Don't Screw with Humans? "

Soon he saw a detonator hooked up to the missile and realized this was no ordinary missile. The meter soon read " Zero " and when that happened the entire Decepticon main headquarters blew up in a nuclear explosion. The blast was so large it nearly wiped out the entire city of Iacon. The plume of the blast cloud could be seen from all the moons, the Autobots all gasped at the sight, a devastation that none had ever seen on their once fair city. Optimus Prime signalled Ultra Magnus on moon base two, he told them the bomb was not authorized by him, it seems the Earth military decided to send a message back to the Decepticons...payback for the attack against the Earth United Nations building a few years ago. Ultra Magnus did say that it took out the very link to the Decepticons means of getting home, a strategy that he would never use, but it was effective nonetheless. Optimus Prime didn't think it was necessary, but he soon reminded himself that it is a war, one that had to be one at all costs. On the Cybertron surface, buried under all the debris, Shockwave blasts his way free and rises to the surface. It seems that the blast did minor damage to him, but looking out around the city, he does admit the humans managed to cripple them most seriously. As the giant purple transformer walked along the ruins, he realized he was thrown to the very edge of Iacon City, it would seem the metal buildings managed to contain most of the blast point at the center. The Radiation wasn't as high where he stood, since Cybertron is one big metallic planet, the surrounding structures managed to keep the dangerous nuclear radiation contained. As Shockwave turned to leave the area, he could hear a faint cry for help. As he blasted away some of the rubble, underneath sat the shielded Doctor Archeville. Shockwave was amazed the pathetic flesh being was unharmed. But the room Archeville was in was blasted away to safety, the metal all around him kept him radiation protected. He picked him up in a tight grip and told him if he didn't help him build a weapon to strike back at the human world, he would crush him to death. Archeville couldn't help but say yes, still a prisoner and an outcast of Earth.... he had no choice.

The Decepticon soldiers from outlying areas came to Shockwave's aid; they took him to the next old Decepticon city over and repaired him. He asked the helping soldiers if any news came from Earth, if Megatron had been trying to contact him. " No", they told him. The Cybertronian guardian told his men to lock the human, Archeville, into a new cell. This enemy prisoner of Earth would be watched carefully from now on, he would help them build weapons and be a slave, until Megatron returns and figures out what to do with the flesh creature. On the moons, the view down to Cybertron gave a clear sign of the damage done. The once proud, but decaying city of their home world, was now a medium sized crater. The price of war thought Ultra Magnus, one that he could understand why the humans did what they did. Optimus Prime just never had the heart to try and sabotage the only space link to their planet; perhaps he was hoping they could use it once the war was over. Arcee on moon base two was wondering how Prime and the others where doing on the human planet. No sooner had she wondered when a call came from Optimus Prime himself, the humans had managed to help the Autobots destroy the underwater base of the Decepticons. The Decepticons had retreated to the Earth's moon, a perfect place for the Autobots to fight them hand to hand without endangering anymore human lives. The Earth would soon be free of the evil threat of Megatron and his goons, the moon is the last place for the Decepticons, and the Autobots were gearing up for the last battle to send them back home. Cybertron, it would be there the Cybertronian wars would end forever. The civil war that had raged on the longest ever in recorded history, was now going to be contained there once more. Springer and Ultra Magnus asked Prime if he needed back up, but rather then accepting, he told them to keep where they all were. If Megatron is sent back home, they need keep an eye on him and prepare for the last major war.

Arcee, Springer, Ultra Magnus and the other Autobots on the moons where glad to hear all the humans cheering in the background. Optimus Prime seemed to think their joy was a bit premature...but welcome nonetheless. After all they deserved to celebrate after what they've accomplished. Ultra Magnus turned off the viewer when Prime signalled off, as he sat back in his chair, he worried about their war that was fast approaching. Decepticons hate to be defeated; he knew that their revenge would be paved in the way of energon blood. As the planet and moons hung in outer space.... silent and calm...a new storm would come, one that would turn the tide for the Autobots, but with many prices to pay for it.
